Looks like our herd is going to grow some more!
My husband works on a dairy farm, they are a smaller farm (milking 70 cows) They do lots of embryo transfers and harvesting. They breed great cows. They have a beautiful 2 year old cow that was a "fancy" embryo calf. She was bred to a top of the pile bull. She calved out 2 weeks ago, but unfortunately has a blind quarter She is a awesome friendly cow, she was shown as a calf, great breeding. Worth a pile of money, but now sadly worth nothing as a "fancy" cow. So my hubby asked what the plan is for her. He has spent lots of time with this cow, she was supposed to be going to a big Holstein show/sale next month, so he has to groom her and make her pretty every day.
His boss has said we can have her! I currently have 5 Jerseys, so a 3 quartered Holstein will fit right in!
