My Valentines Present <3

I woke up this morning to a fresh TINY heifer! Out of my smallest Jersey Cow and my Dexter bull. She is 3 days over due and one would think she is 3 weeks early from how tiny she is. She has white spots on her belly and legs, it looks like she will be a deep red brindle. We have decided to name her Scarlet.

Since there is a no photo it didn't happen........ here she is. With B-Bok our barn bunny to show how tiny she is.

I don't have a Facebook account and could see the photo fine. The cute calf is lying down and has hay on her back, like that giant bunny is trying to bury her.

She is tiny and cute but your bunny looks like it could weigh 20 lbs easily.

Daddy is a red Dexter, mommy is a darker colored Jersey. All of the babies for all 5 of my Jerseys and this bull have grown up to be a dark red with brindle markings. This little girl has a white belly, white spots on her feet and some white on her tail.

And yes B-Bok is probably a solid 15lbs. We guess this little lady only weighs about 25lbs.

My girl is bred to a solid black dexter. I am really hoping she has a heifer that comes out looking like a Jersey but I am having my doubts.. seems calves take a bit more after daddy than mommy

great looking little heifer, I am going to breed my Dexter cow to a small jersey bull to get a better milk cow. How much milk are you getting from this cross. Also you live in a great place I used to live in Qualicum as a kid.

She is the first heifer I am going to keep from the cross, so I am not yet sure what kind of milk to expect from it?

Qualicum is a BEAUTIFUL area
