Question: Ordered a "side of beef"..

This may seem dumb, but it's been AGES since I've seen a big order of meat and same for hubby.
But, we've got a "side of beef" coming in a couple of weeks and we want to make sure we have room for it in the freezers.
HELP! How much space do we need to house this stuff? Mom is a sale-a-holic and she has out little freezers stuffed

I'm sure we will have room, but we may be feasting for a few days, anyone wanna come over for a BBQ...? LOL

But seriously, is a 16 cubic foot freezer (almost emtpy) big enough?

Thanks for your input

It will be plenty big enough for a side.

I have a 20.6 cu and an entire beef doesn't fill it completely

*Sigh* thanks all for your input. I thought it would be okay but was a bit unsure, but just wanted to make certain. That's a huge relief!!

Around 4-5 cubic feet per quarter animal unless it's really big (like our bull was) or really small like our minatures. Normal animal falls in about 4.5 for us.
