Calf with swollen jaw

Hi, I have a calf with a bump on the right side of his bottom jaw and this morning, a little bit of blood came out of his mouth while I was feeding him. Does anyone have an idea what could cause this?

BE VERY CAREFULL but stick your finger in there pushing out on the lower lip see if you can feel a bump or a wound in there......if you get your finger in his moulers he can crush your finger....why you push out on it away from his teeth....have a big guy hold his head so he can not shake head and get a hold of finger.......might be a thorn or a fever blister

Lump Jaw. http://www.yourcattle.com/members/ar.../lump_jaw.html

We had a heifer with it years ago. She lived to be quite old,and was known as Lumpy all her days.
