Clover is bred...YES!

I am so glad i had the vet out today! He confirmed that Clover (our coming 3 year old Jersey) is bred! YES!

I was getting pretty upset because i thought she was looking rather poorly and a little thin. She is not due to freshen until Aug 4. Turns out...that pig of a steer I have still have (little Burgermeister II) is still nursing on her and pushing her off her food. grrr!
Well, they are separated now! i have to decide if I am going to milk...duh...lol or let her dry up. I cannot get him into butcher until the beginninging of march so i will have to keep them apart until then. Apparently, everybody is butchering early this year! I suppose...saving on hay...

Anyway, I am glad that she is def. bred and doing ok and I can start milking again if i want to. yea me !

Congratulations!

I was hoping to see a post like this from mamagoat61. Wonder if she ever got her heifer bred?

Good job Trish, just don`t feed that cow to much corn and get the calf inside her to fat. She could have trouble having it when the time comes. Our butcher is always this busy, you have to figure at least six months ahead down here. > Thanks Marc
