Traveling in Style (pic)

Back in the day we use to stuff the Jerseys in 100# feed sacks and let them ride up front. Times sure have changed, now they ride in the back enjoying soft music and a radial tire ride....Topside

I assume your wife does the laundry?

What does it do to the "new car smell"?

Nice pic!

Topside, were you born and raised in Monterey? I keep thinking that I should know you.

Genebo, yes full blooded Jersey. Mama cow was AI by a powerful bloodline for milk production, but a bull calf popped out instead of a heifer. I've bought loads of calves from this fellow, never had a problem...Topside

Hey, we brought our Holstein calf home in the back seat too! He refused to lie down, stood the whole ride, pretending he was the dog!!

I didn't have to worry about him getting cold on the ride in the stock trailer when we use the back seat. We put our first calf in the trailer to bring home and he got into trouble, had to visit the Vet for a couple days to get warmed up and IV fluids from being so cold. Lucky he sold so well at the Fair, daughter didn't lose any money on him with the extra expenses.

I now recommend putting the calf inside the vehicle for bringing them home. Ours didn't make any messes, though we did put a blanket under them to soak up anything.

I once brought a couple jersey calves home in my wife's minivan with lots of seat coverings like your vehicle has in the pic. My trip didn't work so well. By the time I got home there was quacamole on the ceiling and windows! Never again will I use my wife's car. Next time I'll borrow my mother-in-laws!!!!
