Transporting cattle from NE

We are in the market for a dairy cow, which we may have found in the neighboring state of Nebraska. It is in the non-brand inspection part of the state. But what is required by the state of Nebraska for crossing county or state lines? Health Inspections? How are the vets about doing those inspections? What sort of turn-around time is needed on TB tests?

You're right. Sorry about that oversight. KS is the destination. I know that a TB test is required for dairy to enter the state.

Not important what ne needs, you need to know what is requires. I think you need an Interstate Health Certificate filled out by a ne vet.
Personally, I would want a test for BVD and Johnes.

As rancher1913 says, shipping requirements are determined by the destination state. Your best bet is to contact the Kansas State Vet's office to be certain you are meeting any testing requirements and to get a permit if necessary:
