Does weaning the calf = more cream in my bucket?
The last several days since I weaned Annabelle's calf, I have been getting almost twice as much cream as before. I had originally thought about moving her on because she wasn't giving me enough cream to do anything with... but now that I've seen this... whoa... So, is it because I pulled the calf? Or pure coincidence?
Before my cream lines on a gallon were only about 1/2 in to 1 inch deep. Now they are closer to three. I skimmed off 10 ounces this morning, and I didn't even get close to getting it all. I was pretty excited!
