We have worked with a few cows that could not be AI'd. There are many reasons for AI not working, that a live bull can take care of.

If all else fails, do try to find a live bull for her.

Because of it being frozen, the semen from the straws moves far more slowly and travels less distance. Therefore it must be placed exactly. Live semen can travel long distances, through a tortuous path.

As one lady put it, "As long as he gets it on her tail, she'll catch". Obviously an exaggeration, but it makes the point.

I had her set up for a bull but she cycle early. By 5 days And my dh is out of state! She so threw me for a loop! I should not have said she didn't take she did take the first time but absorbed. I wonder if she took the last time almost 3 cycles ago but absorbed again. I'm feeding differently now. And have a Better mineral shipped in for her. I don't know but I just desperately want her to take!
I have had the vet to check her and she is 100% correct and functioning. She just isn't with child! I'm so sad! I want my baby to give Me a baby.

Try giving her sea kelp and 2 oz of raw apple cider vinegar a day over her feed. Also timing is hard to get. When you see any sign of heat, any sign, have the AI tech out 12 hours later and then do it again 12 hours after that. It should double your chances.

My sister had this problem. She changed AI techs. The second guy got it in one.
You could also have him use two straws and get the numbers up.

Being in WI, you should be knee-deep in techs.

I have 4 to choose from. My vet gave me 3 names of guys but not the guy I use. Asked her her opinion and she said. " we'll yeah you can use him" no negative Spoken. But she won't speak ill of people. But she hasn't used him. So If she isn't
Taking this time I will try a new guy. If She still is open it will be spring and I will get her to a bull.
