cows and banamine or bute

We have a cow who has hurt her leg and she is limping.

Is it safe to give either Banamine or bute? either would have to be given orally.

If so, what is the recommended dose for a 1200-1400 lb cow?

Thanks.

I don't think you can get either except through a veterinarian and the vet would be able to advise you on the dosage.

The cow might require a different med altogether, depending on the problem. Check with your vet?

your libel to do more damage trying to treat her than if you left her alone. if you can't see a sore or other problem pen her up with water and feed so she doesn't have to travel alot and see if she gets better in a day. I've used binoculars to get a good look at hoves and legs so as not to agravate a problem.
