Lump in Nose

We got 8 bottle calves from a dairy 10 days ago. Dealt with a few respiratory issues, but for the most part, they have been doing well. Noticed yesterday that #5 had a gunky eye. Today, on closer inspection in good light, observed that he has a red lump (not an open sore) inside his left nostril as well as a gunky left eye. Right eye and nostril look fine. We dosed him with LA-200, but I am curious as to what it could be. He is up and eating fine. Normal manure. He did get 2 cc dose of Excede Tuesday for a cough and runny nose, but his respiratory symptoms had cleared up. He also had a dose of the nasal vaccine for respiratory at birth, but I don't know which one.

Anyone seen this type of lump before? Ideas?

Well, the LA helped the eye clear up and the lump is smaller and less angry-looking. May have to give one more shot, but it is looking better, whatever it is.

He could have got jabbed by the nasal vaccine..it is just a plastic tube you stick in there and it sprays in the nostril.....or it could be a cold sore like humans get from a high fever

Rednose?

IBR-Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis

Might want to vaccinate the whole bunch.

The intranasal vaccines typically contain IBR, but at this point, I'm not ruling it out entirely. No other respiratory symptoms since the Excede. It is a new one for me.

ETA - I looked at pictures of red nose. His is not that red or widespread. I will check under his tongue for ulcers/plaque, but I am leaning more towards an abcess. Just a weird place for an abcess.
