jersey hefier acting weird

i have a jersey hefier that is going to calf some time next month but the past two days she started sticking her tounge out of the right side of her mouth and it hangs down really long and she sucks it back in if u get close to her she doesnt do it all the time just every now and then never seen a cow do that . she eating very well and drinking plenty of water and eating lots of hay she isnt acting sick or anything just wasnt sure this was normal anyone else ever had this problem

I call that 'brushing their teeth'.
She may have something jammed between her teeth there and she is working it loose.
Not all cows do it and they dont do it all the time,
but when they do they can really get a rhythmic suction and head bobbing going on.

So yes, it is a normal things that cows do.
