Crabgrass in pasture

Hello all, I'm pretty much a lurker here. I'm kinda new to farming so could use some help. I planted some fescue in the spring, its came up good in some spots but i have a lot of crabgrass in others. Is there something I can spray on several acres that won't break the bank?

Livestock love crabgrass, don't kill it. It's my livestocks summer time savior, fescue is a cool weather perennial, crabgrass is a hot weather annual...Topside

Crabgrass is considered bad for lawns, maybe that's where you got your bad impression of it? It's a really good grass for livestock, and really helps out in the hot late summer/early fall. You're lucky that you have it!

The crabgrass and the fescue can share the same areas and not compete with each other. I suggest you introduce some Red River crab grass with your common crabgrass.
