Phantom heat

Anybody ever have a cow act like she's in heat, but not have any discharge to show it on her next cycle after she's been covered by a bull. (3 times at least). This is a proven cow, covered by a proven bull and I have no reason to doubt that she's bred. One of my other cows did this last year, I was just wondering if it's common. Thanks

She didn't ride the other cow. Just acting abnormaly, pacing the fence, bawling, backed off on milk production for a couple days, then went back to normal like nothing ever happened.

It's called a false Heat. So yep we have.We have 2 that have done it a couple of times.
And 265 days later a calf. Also have one that comes in 21 days after a calf sometimes
(she did it this time) and 21 days later didn't come back in so she stuck first time. They don't do it everytime so go with it. She has done this 4 times now ten year old cow. 308-310 days between calves.Vet says she still pudgie so it won't hurt her. So if she is healthy That's nature at work. Go with it.
