Dexter cow for sale in VA

It is that time of year again where I have to reduce some expenses. Unfortunately that means deciding to sell some of our livestock. We are also preparing for an out of state move soon and are cutting down on what we are taking for hay considerations.

Currently I have 1 Dexter cow available as well as several goats that will be listed in the goat section.

Above is a photo of Buttercup and her heifer calf from this year.

She has freshened twice, each with a heifer both on my property. Most recent was born on July 11, 2012 so she is still nursing. Never been milked. Will come to you and allow hand rubbing along front and top of back with grain. Currently not bred but should cycle again within a month. Easily breeds back. I am unable to have her bred prior to leaving as I do not have a bull on my property.

She has never received vaccinations or antibiotics that I am aware of. However she was not born on my farm. Grain free except for occasional treat and naturally raised. Great mother with no calving problems.

Please send any email inquiries to David at tinroofdairygoats dot com. I will respond in the order received. Price is $1,500.

Thank you,
David

Buttercup and her current heifer calf are available as a pair. The heifer
calf (Poppy, born on 7/20/12) was sired by an A2/A2 bull, Buttercup is
A2/A1. They are available as a pair for $1,800. The sire is not registered
but a purebred Dexter with registered parents.

The sire's dam is Buttercup of Old Orchard, registered with ADCA.
TheSire's sire is out of Jam's Castle Hoedown, registered with Legacy. If
you were interested in seeing the pedigrees. The heifer calf will not be
able to be registered since the sire has not been and i'm not sure if the
owner of the bull will.

Is poppy polled? (It doesn't look like she should be with the sir/dam)?

No, Poppy is not polled. Both of her parents have all horned genetics.
