Finally got a picture of Evie Lee!

Here is a picture of Evie Lee and Bonnie. Evie is due Sept 7 and this is her second calf. Bonnie was just bred yesterday as she's 17 months old and was chasing my poor preggo Evie around trying to "breed" her yesterday. I called the vet to see if he could AI her for me and he said she would need bred later that day and he wouldn't be able to. So, I was left with waiting which would have her calving in mid June and it was so hot then. Or breed her to the low calving weight bull we have here and have a calf in mid May. I called the lady that owns the bull and she said so far his calves have all been small and she'd just had a calf last week out of him and a jersey/angus cross heifer and she did great and had a nice small calf. So....Bonnie was introduced to him and bred a few times yesterday. Here's to hoping for decent weather and an easy birth. LOL!

So, what ya think....is Evie too thin?? I know it's not the best picture of her but should give ya an idea. Thanks guys!

They both look to be in good flesh to me.

Fingers crossed that the breeding took.

So I guess Evie looks good for a jersey a month away from calving? I just thought she looked thin but I like stuff to look fat. LOL!

Fat cows are more prone to problems at calving time. She looks fine the way she is!
