Wanted: 2nd milk cow

Hi I live in southeast Kentucky and am looking to buy a second milk cow. My current cow is jersey/brown swiss and love her milk. Anyone know of one for sale. thank you

Check local dairies with the drought in Kentucky. They tend to get rid of low producers an/or excess cows, older cows. And sometimes you get a freebee because the cow is 12+
years and not calving every year like they want.

I second the local dairies. One in my area sells his "low producing" jersies bred for $500 and that exactly what I intend to get if I decide to get a second cow.

Not sure how far is too far, but Perks Organic dairy in Lewisburg, WV has 700+ Jerseys. We bought ours from him and couldn't be happier.
