Where to buy a milk bar?

I have been googling and looking on ebay and I cannot find anywhere that sells a milk bar to feed 4 calves? I have checked at all my local feed places and no one can even get them??? I am in Canada. Can anyone post a link of place that I can order one on line?

Thanks a million!

I don't think you really want one. The pushiest-most aggressive-fastest eaters will get most of the milk.

Thanks tinkal, I have never used one, I am just thinking about it. We keep our calves on there own for the first month + until they get good and strong. I was thinking that once they are past this stage and are bigger and go into groups this would be easier than trying fighting my way in with 4 buckets.

I would love to hear other peoples thoughts on using the milk bars for feeding!!

I have found that not to be true the small hole in the nipple makes the calfs get close to the same amount....I do sometimes put the fast eaters together in a sperate pen.....but it is more even on the amount than you would think....btw all together I have 18 milk bars some are 5 nipples and others are 6 nipples

I did not know of anybody here using them before I had been doing it for 2 years...and have told and talked about them for years......topside uses them now....and a few others they make feeding fast I just pour in 2 1/2 gallons for 5 calfs and go to the next pen usually after three days the calfs have it down pat. some times you have to move a calf over.....but very seldom after they get the nipple in mouth will they butt the next calf off unless the nipple is stopped up or FROZEN SOLID from the water or milk left in it... then after I have feed all calves I go back thought giving a quart of water or a splash as I call it and that washes out the inside of the nipple...the calves suck on it till the SUCK REFLEX stops as the calves keep sucking on it so they do not suck on each other I replace all nipples when I replace the calves usually 8 to 10 weeks

You could quite easily make your own.

Here is a link that has some that have separate compartments within the milk bar for set amounts of milk
milk bars | milk buckets | milk feeders | milk bar | milk drinkers | nursers | milkbar nurser | milkbars

I have only used the single ones, we had (3) calves together & they each got their own (got the reasonably price ones at Tractor Supply around $16.00 each) & hung them in different corners of the stall they were in.
