beef in Michigan

I am looking for a grassfed beef seller in the Ann Arbor Michigan area...my nephew asked to buy from us, but we are in NC and that will be not a workable plan...so if anyone can send me a link or name and phone number that would be great.....

He might first check Craigslist for beef sellers. Not sure how much he wants, whole or part of an animal, to fill his freezers. He could put in a Craigslist ad, asking for grass fed beef if he doesn't find a seller advertising. Any local Farmer's Markets he could attend? There often are booths from farmers who sell meat, he could meet them and get prices and dates of processing.

Have him do a search for Michigan Beef Producers and Michigan Grass fed Beef. Computer turned up a lot of places to contact folks, when I put it up. Tell him to expect higher prices for grass fed, takes longer to produce those animals than feedlot beef.

He just has to hunt in the right places! Our local paper often advertises beef for sale under Farm Products. Seller will take it in for you, buyer pays and gets the processed meat from the butcher.

We live in Northern Michigan, but our son lived in Ann Arbor for several years. They have a great Farmer's market there on Saturdays and I remember several vendors with grass fed beef and other wonderful things. He definitely should check it out.

There's Old Pine Farm in Manchester, which is maybe half an hour or so from Ann Arbor. I know they do beef, pork, and chicken. Not sure about eggs and dairy.
