rebreeding

How soon after calfing can a cow get preganhave bull with 2 cows who just had calfed 23 days ago dont want them breed now.how long can the bull stay with them heroes he needs to be seperated?

Generally, 60 days. But it can happen a lot sooner. We had one cow that had her first and second calf 10 months apart, she had to have cycled back and been bred about 10 days after calving! But that is not the norm, usually it takes longer to get their "plumbing" going again.

I've always heard that a good cow should be able to breed back in 45 days.

just for the others I did say I had ONE cow that had a calf every 10 months for 5 years....that was old number 43...btw I had 120 of them so they are rare

A cow will come in heat 3 weeks after calving. She can be bred back then or the next time.

Yes, a cow comes into heat 3 weeks after calving. Typically, she gets bred back on the second heat, although we have a cow who a couple times had calves 10 months apart. If its been 23 days, she is probably cycling now. If you don't want her bred, get that bull outta there.
