Dead cows.
Well, not really. Completely zonked out in the sun. Sometimes you have to watch them awhile to make sure they are alive.

Slain by a killer sunbeam! I lose more animals that way... temporarily. I like the white with black points, very classy looking.

They are British Whites. Here's a good website if interested:
Images of a British White Cattle Herd in Southeast Texas - Lots of photos / images of the British White cattle breed.
I've been experimenting with them while in between milk cows. I'll probably sell them when the hereford/jersey heifer calves next spring. I don't have alot of pasture, and have to irrigate in the summer.
The white hair reflects heat pretty well, and the black points keep them from getting sunburned, so they do better in heat than black cattle. On some days, they'll sunbathe while others are hiding in the shade.

It looks like a disaster movie, first it hits the cows and then everything else! Run RUN AWAY! ! ! !
The funny thing is, I had three rabbits in a cage a few days ago and they were in almost the same possitions lol.

While we’re at it, I just sent this photo to my kids who are scattered around so they can remember home and their crazy dad mowing the lawn with cows. Son in Afghanistan, daughter in the Netherlands, other daughter at college.

Yeap it happend here in wisconsin too!

White Parks/British Whites are a dual purpose breed. I by accident had a jersey heifer breed to a WP. She had a heifer calf. Out of that heifer calf I raised 3 cows that are half red and white holstein 1/4 jersey and 1/4 WP. I lost my fir st cross cow years back. I was left with Pearl, Frost, and Paige. Pearl and Paige are still here. Frost now resides with a great famliy in Missouri. It is strange that Pearl still throws the white color. As this is her heifer of this yr. Pearls daughter also had a white and red park this yr too. I am back up to 8 white and red park crosses.

He might be reading this. I thought he'd like the pics of the cows sleeping so I emailed him this thread when it started. Nice to be able to communicate.
Madsaw, that's interesting how the white color comes through. My cow is bred to a red angus, so we'll see how that goes next month.
