Anytime we've had a bull/heifer twin set, she gets sold when he does. They seldom breed and aren't worth the money it takes to keep them, only to find out she's sterile.
Usually, you can tell by looking at her appearance and conformation whether she will be sterile. If she carries more of a "bullish" look rather than a "cowy" look, she will usually be sterile.
Yes, goats and calves/cows can be kept together.
