ring worm

I have searched the threads and didnt get to much help..

a few of my cows have ringworm around their eyes and spots on their head. Some say to use iodine and brush with a wire brush etc. Or some fungicide. However any attempt to spray them etc has made them more leary/wild and didnt affect it so much. I seperated the calf with the ringworm but now 3 out of my 4 pastures now have cows with it. I can't catch them and scrub/spray each one on a daily basis. will it run its course in due time?

I understand this is a fungus and not a worm.

Will it run its course and just go away?

Its common in this area of Minnesota.

Can I treat it as a nutritional defieciency of zinc and vitamin D? What has worked for you guys?

You can spray the ringworm area with iodine. The thing with ringworm is that animals scratch againts posts and other things and then other animals come in contact with it and get ringworm also.

It is a fungal thing.... I have always just let it runs its course. If you get it on your self any anti fungal stuff will help kill it.
