Ringworm

Anybody know whether its sulfa or sulfer mixed with used motor oil to clear this up in dairy calves. I've forgotten its been so long, but it worked better than anything you could buy. Thanks.

You can use Selsin Blue shampoo. Even the generic brand works good for this. It works very well for rain rot, hot spots, hair loss, fungus, etc. It is sulfur based. We found out about it from a friend years ago when we got a couple riding horses from the auction with rain rot. One good shampoo and it was gone.

I use it as a body wash in the shower. I am convinced it works fantastic to keep the ticks off outside. And it is anti-fungal and safe to use. Makes a great hand wash too, makes your skin very soft.

I just put iodine on the ringworm on a pony we bought, rubbed it in with a toothbrush. Did it for about 6 days, when it quit growing. Never had anymore ringworm problems after the iodine treatment.
