question on dexter's

Have a chance to buy a dexter cow. She's given birth once and has milked 2 other
calves. She is about 3 years old. What's a good price to for her?
Cattle prices in the area are high right now. A good angus momma same age would go for $1400. and up. She can be hand milked and is said to be gentle.

Thanks

Bruce

What is your area?

It sounds like she is a good milk cow, that can be hand milked and is gentle. She has fed 3 calves and is only 3 years old? She sounds like a treasure to me.

Providing she is in good health and is truly gentle, as claimed, I know several people who would jump at the chance to get her.

She's at least as valuable as the Angus. She can give you milk, raise her calf for you, and raise the Angus's calf, too.

I'l bet she'll be gone when you go back.

If you turn her down, let me know where she is.
