Clover is in labor!

Checked on Clover tonight as she walked away from her supper and went to stand in the shed. I watched her for a bit and she rounded her back and stuck that tail straight out and pushed! I stayed for a bit because I wanted to make sure I was seeing what I thought I was. There is no bag of waters or mucous yet. I grabbed the neighbor guy (dairy farmer) and he said she definately is in labor, but it is early labor. Ligaments are gone. So the watch begins......

Oh my goodness! She is awesome! We thought early labor as nothing was showing....I went back out 45 min after I left her and there were feet! She easily delivered a little bull...aka BurgermeisterII. he will be loved on and cared for until time to drop off for freezer camp. She is doing an awesome job, cleaning him up etc. He is very active and trying to stand. We gave hime a little over a pint of colustrum and he gobbled it down. As a side note...did I say she was awesome! She let us hand milk her and just stood there, one shift of the leg and I scolded her to stand and then acted like she had ben doing it all her life. LOVE this cow! She got three cookies and they are in her stall for the cold night. I am uploading pics now.

Well that was quick!
I just barely ran and took a bath, come back on here and she has had it already.

Congratulations on your new little Burgermarcster.
