Is this a good price or too high for a bottle fed calf?

A guy that works at dh's jobsite (not w/same company) has a Holstein calf (I think he said it was male) that is bottle fed. He told dh he would take $100 for it.

Is that too high for a bottle fed calf?

If this is a HEALTHY calf it might be a good buy. Is this a purchased calf that he no longer wants to feed? Good hol. day old bull calves will bring that price at the salebarn here! If this calf is healthy and broke to the bottle he very well may be a bargain The main thing is to find out WHY they are selling the calf, if your husband gets a vague answer donot walk but run from the deal!
