Protien tubs

I know I should put this on the goat forum too , but I don't know how.... I have young heifers and goats in the same pasture. Can I use the 20% protien tubs or do I need to seperate them into different pastures??? Thanks .

We have friends who run cattle and goats together on pretty remote coastal mountains (Kings Range). The only problem they've run into is getting baby boers STUCK in the tubs....kind of like the La Brea tarpits where the saber tooth tiger is sinking into the tar; my friend has talked about riding up on a tub where a baby goat is stuck sideways in the goo.

I use the hard, 24% tubs in my pasture with cattle and goats. I've done it for years with no problem.

I think the problem may be with mixing cattle with sheep, for cattle and goats need copper while copper is bad for sheep.
