Smile Holstein question

Im looking to buy a five year old cow she has been a family cow all her days . She has never been on a dairy and is pregnant with her third calf is she to old to invest in?

She's in her prime! Well past her goofy heifer days but still a lot of years left in her, I would think.

Where I work, we had a 12 year old Holstein calve on Christmas Eve. We also have a few 10 and 11 year olds in the line. And this is a commercial dairy farm.

She sounds pretty good to me.
A proven breeder, trained to milk and bred back already; that is a great way to start out dairying.

Hummm All good advice , mayby when she calves I should get a second calf?
Was planning to find how to make cheese etc .

LOL! A second and maybe a third....maybe even a fourth! LOL! Just kiddin....kinda. LOL!I would love to know how to make good cheese.

We have a Jersey that is 12, going on 13 and is pregnant. 5 years old is a very good age.

Sounds perfect! 5 and on her 3rd calf means she's bred back right on time.

Why are they selling her?
