contagious to goats?

If the calves that I have (currently in the isolation pen), did have either ecoli or salmonella, how long should I wait to put them in a small pasture that goats do not currently reside but could move to at any time?
I ask because the weather is suppose to turn bad the end of this week & I would like to let them out to play for a few days.

e.coli is pretty much everywhere. It is stress that brings it on.

The best I remember e.coli is always present in the body (lower intestines) and will only attack as a secondary invader....Stress would weaken the animals immune system and the e.coli could then do it's thing...just an example. I believe sunlight and dry conditions kill those bugs....Do some more research before you believe me.....Thanks tinknal,,,topside
