why keep a standing army?

I am convinced we have no need of a standing army, we can destroy another country by simply releasing a herd of goats and mares in heat, and cows with itchy heads and backs at the enemy shoreline and they will quicky be brought to their knees as I was this morning, fences boards not snapped by Normans itchy head were literly kicked off the posts by a cranky Ginger, wire bent, the goats had dismantled their hose watering system, feed bucket torn from their tire holders and strewn about, all over night...

I'm not sure I can say anything to this statement other than, "Amen, sister!"

It's tough showing up at the barn in the morning to realize there was some serious partying going on the night before. Somehow I think they have a special sense of when to pull this stuff. It's always on Sunday morning while the family is getting ready for church that the critters break off a very well fortified frost free hydrant and keep my wife from the shower! lol......

I have realized this many years ago, when you have someplace to go, things will go wrong. Never fails that when your running a bit behind in chores that things can go wrong at the drop of a hat. And send you into a tail spin so fast , it will make your head spin. I to have gone to the barn in the morning and everything , and I mean everything is not were it`s suppose to be. Hang in there and realize, your not the only one things happen to. > Thanks Marc

My horse can go on the front lines:

Our power kept going out~ I know my grey horse rubs her butt on the power pole and really gets those wires jumping sometimes~ so when the power started going out regularly and almost every time the wires were swinging from the horse scratching her butt....I started to become worried my horse was doing it. It wouldn't be such a big deal~ but at least three of my neighbors lose power every time we lose power. So after the last time when the power guy came out to look for "A squirrel" on my line that may have caused a problem....I ran some barbed wire around that pole....figured it was better than one of my neighbors shooting my grey "squirrel" when they lost power next time! So a couple days ago the power man had to come out to put lightening arrestor on that pole~ he saw the barbed wire and thanked me. I said..."well we were not sure it was our horse doing it..." He says... "It was your horse" Apparently the "squirrel" search is the power companies polite way of suggesting you take care of your own "Squirrel" before someone else does!
