My cow with bad teeth

Here is a video of my CRAZY cow Time. She had bad teeth. We took her to the equine dentist to have them fixed but it just wasn’t enough. I guess she was in pain for so long that she just wouldn’t start chewing her food again after we got her teeth fixed. I had her about 4 months before she went down. In the summer she would eat fine, she swallowed everything whole. It was the winter that killed her, she couldn’t eat hay, it hurt too much to chew. I was wrong about her being down for three weeks. The video said two. I think this was 3 years ago. The straw bales and tarps in the background were where we had to build a house around her when she went down. At the time of the video no one had any idea what was wrong with her, not even the vets. She went to killers because the dentist said it would just keeping happening again.

She looks like an old person with OCD playing with their false teeth. Maybe something similar to Orajel for babies teething would have helped sooth the pain in her final days.

Yes, it was very sad. This cow grew up on the U of I dairy farm. Some thought that she picked up the habit there since they thought they have their cows tied all the time. The dairy vet said he has seen things like this before. He said one time he seen a cow that licked all the hair off the cow next to it. CRAZY, just CRAZY! He said he thought they get bored. I don't think it would have made a difference if we could have figured out what was wrong sooner. I think her teeth were in that condition for quite a while.
