Covers for a bale feeder?

Does anyone have a good idea on how to keep rain/snow from ruining hay in the roundbale feeder? I tried a tarp which created a bathtub.
I'm sure there are many ingenious ways to add longevity to a bale!

My neighbor puts a sheet of plywood over the top of the bale. He only has one steer.

never had it last long enough to spoil. maybe an old satalite dish or build a dedicated feed station with a roof.

3 t-posts with a fiberglass satellite dish worked for us. Also kept the goats from climbing on top of the hay!
