About Weaning

So I originally built my bottle calf area fairly near to the house so I I could keep a closer eye on them. Now that we're weaning these fellas I'm starting to regret that. MOOOOO MOOOOO MOOOOO.... It was cute for awhile, but they are starting to get on my nerves now.

So, a note to the new guys like me. Might be good to put a little space between you and the weaning calves in the morning.

It's never enough space... lol

We usually weaned a few hundred at a time and the corrals were never far enough from the house.
In fact, our neighbors just weaned calves last week. They're two miles away and we could still hear them bawling!
