pot bellied yearlings?

These are my jersey/angus cross 11 month olds. Pasture fed with salt block available and plenty of water. Spunky happy attitudes bright eyes and will come find you for the apple in your back pocket. The hubby is worried about their nutritional status because of the "pot belly." I can feel their ribs when I pet/scratch them but have to get the light on em just right to be able to see any kind of shadowing for ribs. Am just after opinions as to whether their feed needs changed or if they're just showing off some dairy characteristics....Thanks so much
