Horses and cows and goats???

OK, I know goats and cows share at least Johnes'...

My tenant has brought his horses over and put them in my temp fencing for my cow and goats, do I need to worry about disease jumping from the horses to cow or goats?

I am deathly allergic to horses, so I know NOTHING about them.

No. What do cowboys use to work cattle? Horses!

My goats run in the field with my horses - no problems. The only possibility, and it's very, very, very unlikely, is that horses could pick up "pigeon fever" from a CL+ goat.

Well, the horses went after the goats this morning, so the goats ended up back in their pen, and a separate fence will be put up for the horses this evening. It will still be close though, so thanks for the heads up about disease transmission!

I know several people that run their horses and goats together. It has never worked for me because my horses seem to think the goats are toys to play with.

I cant speak to goats, and for that matter i've never worried about inter specie disease, but I cant run my horses and cattle together. They're all cow ponies, but two of them will run cattle whenever the mood strikes them. We have a young mare that has run them through the fence, even.
