Question Taming a calf

So the new cow I'm getting has a calf at her side which has not been handled by humans at all. I would like to raise her for another dairy cow. How do you tame a heifer thats only a few months old?

You let my kids have unfettered access to them for 3 days. Even the shiest cow will come running to the fence after spending time with my kids.

We got 3 new calves that HATED humans. End of the 2nd day these guys come running when they see us. They've even gotten to the point that they hug and lick on the kids and me. It was lots of rubbing and tiny handfuls of treats.
