Cool is this possible?

I haven't done many bottle calves (3 last fall and will do 3 more this year), but this doesn't sound healthy (or possible) to me? Thoughts?

From my local craigslist:

One week old Angus X bull calf. No longer takes a bottle. $35 obo if you pick him up. I can deliver for an extra fee. Call or email...

No where near an expert on bottle calves but at 1 week and it's not taking a bottle I'd say it's gonna die. No way to have a weaned calf at that age.
But at the very least you could bring it home to butcher for some really nice veal.

Could mean that they've switched him to pail feeding, but for that price I think he's on his way out.

This was my thought, put in an email asking why no bottle feeding, hopefully he is just on a bucket, then I will snap him up...

At that price and wording he is off feed and he is hoping someone with knowledge will buy him and fix him.

My guess is not that he is weaned. It sounds to me like he is refusing to eat. Never a good sign in a calf.
