Is this heifer ruined?

I have three calves, one is a heifer. They're all on the bucket and were running together. I noticed they wanted to suckle each other after they finished their milk, so I put weaning rings in the two steers. Come to find out, they were still able to nurse on her and now she has a little bit of udder development showing. I'm guessing they were together about three weeks before I saw one nursing her. Neighbor came over and was able to express a drop or two of clear liquid.

Did I just ruin my future milk cow? Is there any way to tell other than waiting for her to calve?

I would give her antibiotic shots for mastitis now. If you keep her, maybe infuse her udder with mastitis treatment a couple of weeks before calving. Here is a link to an article with some info.

I would do as Linn has said and maybe even some good udder ointment, just keep an eye on her, she may be ok, this isn`t the first heifer that this has happened to. > Thanks Marc
