I have been looking for a surge milker, but they are way out of my price range. Well, I had all but given up and was sure I was going to have to get rid of the cow. I can't get an entire night's sleep from the pain. In fact 2 straight hours of solid sleep is dumb luck. I just can't handle this pain forever.

So, last night, I saw an ad on CL for a surge milker for $75 and I called. It is the entire thing! Bucket, lid, teat cups, pulsator, tubing (which I'll be replacing), inflation cups (also replacing). The guy had another bucket and lid that he only wanted $10 for that I was more than happy to buy. All of this was in great shape with no dents or rust.

Now, I just need to replace the check valve, all the hoses and inflation cups and buy a vacuum pump and we'll be in business!

I think for $85, I got a great deal!

Very nice! I'd love to stumble onto a deal like that! I finally got a manual milker together yesterday, so the goat and I will be testing it out this afternoon, as she's already down in the "crater" right now and I'm not going to see if I can find snakes just to bring her up right now LOL.
