Johnes question

Does anybody know for sure at what age cattle start passing Johnes bacteria in their manure? I have a 4 week old calf that I'd like to put out in my goat pasture until fall, when he's a bit bigger and can join the other steers in their pasture. He's totally healthy, but the farm he is from doesn't test. I'm thinking from what I've read, they are over a year old if not two years?

Just looking for advice if it's safe to keep the little calf with the goats for 3 months. Thanks!
