Dexter Halter Finally Fits

After the third try, I finally found a halter to fit our Dexter. First I tried a calf halter -- too small. Then I tried a cow halter -- too big. Finally I tried a yearling halter -- just right. I think I'll change her name from Zoey to Goldilocks.

I wasn't even aware that they made a 'yearling' halter until yesterday. I was looking for a hole punch or something to get the cow halter to fit when I saw the yearling halter and decided to try it.

I feel your pain, I have a little four month old jersey calf, I finally had to put a weanling halter with a leather strap and a bizzillion holes and it still hangs on her, but at least I don't worry about her getting caught on anything..even the goat halters were too big or too small...
