What do you feed your milk cow?

I am new to having a Jersey. I am wondering what everyone feeds their milk cows? And if you have a reason, why?

MIne get pasture with a little grain in the barn at milking. Then hay in the winter with more grain to help them keep weight on threw the winter. > Marc

Grass, alfalfa, and whatever else I can "afford" to feed her. Corn and alfalfa pellets are my feed of choice but it's just too expensive right now. I'm leaning more toward grass-based all the time and don't use too much grain. It just don't pencil out.

In the winter we feed hay and a grain supplement. In the summer, grass and a grain supplement.

Round bales of hay all winter with around 4 pounds of grain a day for the milkers
