Pasture lease rates

Can anyone help me figure out what to charge someone that wants to lease my 40 acres for their 5-6 cows? I have no idea? I live near Denver Co. and I would supply the land, barn and water. They would provide their own feed and hay and would also do all their own feeding every day. Thanks

Check with your local extension office. There is probably information on the state grazing rates for different areas of the state.

There would be variations due to the specifics of the lease. Is it year around or only during grass season? Do you guarantee water? Will the renter be using your barn and for what? Will the lease limit him to a specific number of animals? Many things to consider.
