anyone in WI have a grass-fed steer for sale?

looking to have a steer brought to a butcher somewhat close to the madison area. Really only interested in grass-fed and healthy, does not need to be organic. Looking to buy at least a half - whole within 6 weeks.

Jersey would be my top preference.

ty,
Cathy

Most cattle are grass/hay fed up intil they are ready for the feed lot, the final 6-8 weeks of their lives. Shouldn't be too hard to find a steer that's ready for the feed lot. Ask the butcher/slaughter house operator. You could ask around at a livestock auction. Go to a dairy and ask who hauls their cattle to auction, then ask that guy to be on the lookout for a grass fed Jersy steer. Shouldn't have to wait too long. Good luck.
