something different with a calf

Haven't seen it before.
I have a calf that has chipmunk cheeks. Just showed up.
I don't have a pic but I circled the area on this pic where they lumps are.
Calf is perky as heck, hits her bottle good and looks quite healthy in every other respect.
Any ideas?

Check out calfhood Diphtheria. Lumps like that are one of the ways which it can show up.

I have that in mine some of them ...and they have punched the inside of cheeks with a piece of straw.... all of times it will just go away with age....I have stuck a stick like the size of broom handle in mouth SO THEY CAN NOT BITE YOUR FINGERS.. and feel around in there it will feel like a rough place on the outside cheek.....they can crush your fingers so please us the stick...

I have also thought they are chewing on inside lips as they grinding there teeth

but will have to check out the calfhood Diphtheria thing see if that is it

thanks randiliana

We had one born that way once, the vet said it was not much, that it should go away by itself and it did. It took a few weeks, but it did get away. Just check on it if it doesn't grow luch larger.

I don't know about a calf. If I had a colt that looked like that, he'd have strangles.
