Would goat kid milk replacer work?

I used to feed a calf milk replacer that was 26 percent fat and proten. However, it got to where I couldn't order it, so I had to settle for a milk replacer that was 12 percent each. Well, the other day at the feed store I noticed they had goat kid milk replacer and it was 26 percent fat and protein. They also had it on sale for about half the price of the calf milk replacer.

Would this be okay to substitute? I figure the better content of fat and protein would be an advantage, but just wanted to get an opinion.

I killed a goat kid using cow replacer because it clotted up in the stomach and blew her up, I wasnt home to even attempt to save her and from the time my husband noticed it he couldnt get her to me 15 miles away to save her. 30 Min from feeding she died.

Now about it being the other way around I dont know.

Goats die on milk replacer, sometimes. Doesn't seem to matter which one it is.

I'm not using the goat milk replacer on goats; I planned on using it on calves because its' fat and protein content are much better than the calf milk replacer I can get around here. Just wanted to clarify that if I didn't type my original post clearly enough. Didn't mean to confuse you.

No, my answer was for another poster. I think if I could get a deal on it, I would try the goat milk for the calves. To answer your original question. Everything I see makes goat milk out to be the most absorbable of any.
