Jersey bull calves for sale
If anyone in my local area (Southern Ohio, Northern KY, Eastern Ind, Western WV) is interested in raising a jersey for beef, our neighbor, a large dairy farm, is unloading bull calves, from 2 days old to 1 week old, for $30 each. They sell them off as they get them, holding them for no longer than a week. If not sold in a week, they go to the sale barn. These calves have had colostrum, being left with their mothers for the first 48 hours. After that, they've been fed on cows milk (no milk replacer while on the farm). You won't be able to go pick up a truck load of them, because they only have 2 or 3 at any given day of the week, but you can pick up 2 to 5 at one time generally, depending on what their cows have delivered that week.
If anyone's interested on being put on the list to buy one or a few of these calves, let me know, and give me a contact number. When the guy calls me, he generally wants the calves gone within the next day or two. They have limited space for keeping bull calves around.
