Most livestock would drool over this blend....Good example of how technical feeding livestock can be....Topside

Post # 2 is not the blend he's on...It's just an example for "Oldtimer" to look at...I was asked to post something that's blended w/percentages...Topside

Interesting mix topside. We can't get cottonseed meal here. I'm not familiar with range cubes either. What are they?

I see shell corn and cracked corn in the mix. How come both?

I have a 12 month old Jersey steer waiting for his date with the butcher. He'll probably go after the pasture is done next summer. I've been giving him 16% dairy ration. As far as flavor of the Jersey, it's tender and delicious. It's so good I don't even want to try something else.

How old is your steer? He looks well filled out compared to mine. I haven't been pushing my guy yet though. That'll come next summer or whenever my freezer needs to be refilled. Whichever comes first.

Here's to good eating!

Carla, the mixture is only an example of the variety that goes into a TMR. Range cubes are high protein blocks usually fed in the wintertime. The steer is 18 months old and was just weight taped @ 880 pounds...He does look yummy.
