Too many wild hogs with cattle

I have too many wild hogs. Can they pass psuedorabies to my cattle. I hear it can be fatal to cattle.

sounds like you need to get rid of some feral hogs anyway, psuedorabies is not something you want to mess with, get you some hunting buddies togather and go get you some fresh pork,

http://www.aces.edu/forestry/awdm/di...FeralSwine.pdf Transmission to secondary hosts probably occurs from ingestion of contaminated feed or carcasses or possibly from bite wounds obtained during aggressive encounters. Despite the severity of disease in secondary hosts, reports of infection in wildlife and domestic animals other than swine are rare.

The chances of an animal besides swine catching Pseudorabies are slim. Still the only good wild hog is a dead one.

I would want to get rid of them anyway. The suggestion for a hunting party sounds like a good one.
